Gather the blankets and lawn chairs. The 49th production of All Campus Sing, one of Murray State University’s most anticipated springtime events, will be held on the steps of historic Lovett Auditorium, Wednesday, April 18, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Pulling in campus and community members alike with its history of choreographed entertainment and creative costumes, All Campus Sing is hosted by the sisters of Sigma Alpha Iota, in conjunction with the MSU Alumni Association and the Office of Student Affairs. This year is expected to be the biggest ever, with 26 organizations signed up to compete in one of four different divisions.
Sigma Alpha Iota is currently collecting musical instruments for their philanthropy, People-to-People, an organization that donates instruments to underprivileged children around the world. Christen Jones, one of the All Campus Sing coordinators, says any used instrument may be dropped off at All Campus Sing.
Refreshments will be available on the grounds.
Newly elected Student Government Association officers for the 2007-08 term will be announced prior to the end of All Campus Sing.
