Funding options at MSU for study abroad

For some students who want to study abroad, finding the money to pay for it can be a big issue. Even for those already scheduled to go abroad for study can stress about how to get tuition paid. The Financial Aid and Scholarship Workshop on Feb. 3 and Feb. 4 may provide just the answers needed for those concerns. He session will be held at 4 p.m. in the Barkley Room in the Curris Center at Murray State University (MSU). Representatives from the study abroad, financial aid and scholarship offices will be on hand to help any students who are planning, hoping or interested in studying abroad at any point in their college career. Faculty, staff, parents or anyone else who would like to gather more information for their students are also welcome to attend.

The session will last approximately 45 minuets and will cover several topics. Staff will discuss how to make study abroad scholarship applications as strong as possible, how financial aid applies to the cost of study abroad, how to find out about eligibility for additional aid and how university scholarships might apply to the cost of studying abroad.
