All MSU Racercards to be updated this summer

Thursday, June 18. 2009

This summer ALL Murray State IDs will be updated. This includes all faculty, staff and student RacerCards.

Why? With the new Banner (aka myGate) system, the M Number will replace the Social Security number for campus use. To protect your identity and comply with the new Banner system, the RacerCard office is replacing all current RacerCards at no cost.

What do I have to do for a new card? For all pictures on file, the RacerCard Office will automatically create a replacement card. If you have not received your card or updated your picture within the last two years, visit the RacerCard Office at 101 Curris Center to take a new picture or e-mail a picture to racercard@murraystate.edu. Pictures will be taken throughout the summer and into the fall semester.

When and where will I receive my new card? Delivery of cards will be subject to business volume. Faculty and staff cards should be distributed Aug. 4 and 13 at the Staff and the Professional Staff luncheons.

Student cards will be distributed at time, date and place yet to be determined. Stay tuned …

The RacerCard staff appreciates your patience during this time. If you have any questions do not hesitate to call the RacerCard Office at 809.3003.
